Deshawon Nembhard (born October 8, 1994) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Charleston Battery in the USL Championship.

Career

College

Nembhard began playing college soccer at Southern Methodist University in 2013, before transferring after his freshman year.[1] From 2014, Nembhard played at Florida International University, including a redshirt year in 2016.[2]

FC Miami City

In 2018, Nembhard played in the fourth-tier USL PDL with FC Miami City, making 4 league appearances and scoring a single goal.[3]

Charleston Battery

On February 10, 2020, Nembhard signed with USL Championship side Charleston Battery.[4] He made his professionakl debut on July 19, 2020, starting in a 2–1 loss to Birmingham Legion.[5]

Personal

Deshawon is the son of former United States international soccer player Doc Lawson.[2]
