Debidwar (Bengali: দেবীদ্বার) is an Upazila of Comilla District in the Division of Comilla, Bangladesh.[1]

Geography

Debidwar is located at 23.6000°N 90.9917°E / 23.6000; 90.9917 . It has 55,619 households and a total area of 238.36 km².

Demographics

According to the 1991 Bangladesh census, Debidwar had a population of 336,877, of whom 158,356 were aged 18 or older. Males constituted 50.33% of the population, and females 49.67%. Debidwar had an average literacy rate of 35.1% (7+ years), against the national average of 32.4%.[2]
