David Maley

David Joseph "Dave" Maley (born April 24, 1963 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin) is a radio and television analyst for the San Jose Sharks. An American former hockey player, he played for the NHL's Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, Edmonton Oilers, San Jose Sharks and New York Islanders.

Hockey career

Maley was a part of the University of Wisconsin–Madison team that won the NCAA Division I hockey championship in 1983, and a member of the Montreal Canadiens when they won the Stanley Cup in 1986.

Broadcasting career

Maley is a pre-game analyst and intermission reporter for Sharks radio broadcasts. He also joins Dan Rusanowsky and Baker, now Hedican in a "triple-cast" format during some regular season and home playoff games.

Personal life

Maley grew up in Edina, Minnesota. He is a maternal uncle of NFL tight end Rhett Ellison.[1]

A resident of San Jose, Maley owns Rollin' Ice, a roller hockey facility. He is also the president of the Silver Creek Sportsplex, an indoor sports and fitness facility in San Jose.

gollark: It has *actual* gigabit now, USB 3.0 (though I think still somewhat bandwidth-limited), and a much better CPU than the RPi3B+.

gollark: The Pi 4 has 4 A72 cores and the RP64 has 2 A72 ones plus 4 A53 ones, but they're clocked higher. I don't know which of those is actually *better*, since I haven't checked benchmarks.
gollark: There's also Pine's own RockPro64, which I think is ~~about as fast~~ somewhat faster as the Pi4 CPU-wise, and the ODROID N2, which is probably one of the most powerful reasonably cheap ARM SBCs about.
