History

In 1992 the station commenced broadcasting as KP-FM 89.7 under Westwind Broadcasting Corporation. At that time, it was located in Roxas City. In 1994, it moved to 97.3 FM. In 1998, it moved its studios to Boracay Island & changed its brand again to B97 or Boracay 97. However, in 2000, it ceased broadcasting due to lack of advertisers.

In 2010, Interactive Broadcast Media acquired the station and revived it as 97.3 Dream FM.[3] In June 2011, it ceased its broadcast as a call for Dream FM's demise, which happened a month later. However, in September 2011, it revived as 97.3 Boracay Beach Radio. Its programs from Dream FM were carried to this station and carried by Dream Satellite radio channel.[4]

In October 26, 2018, after Boracay closure, DYKP-FM resumed its broadcasts.
