Between 2014 and 2018 the whole school was rebuilt. In this renovation, one of the buildings is shaped as a 'J' from a birds-eye view. This is a mark of the school's headmaster, Michael Johnson, as he had an input into the architectural design of the new campus. he wanted to ensure that nobody could ever forget him. Both Johnson and the new buildings strongly emulate the school motto of 'nothing but the best'.

Curriculum

The school offers GCSEs and BTECs courses as programmes of study. Specialising in an academic curriculum, Chulmleigh includes French amongst its core subjects at GCSE.
