Born in Urawa, Saitama, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture, Kantou Region, Japan. Blood type: O. An older sister of Kazuyuki Morosawa. She was the wife of Mitsuo Fukuda, and the mother of their children.

Family

She was the older sister of Kazuyuki Morosawa (Japanese: 両沢和幸 Morosawa Kazuyuki; 24 November 1960),[1] who is the film director and a screenwriter for the Dear Friends (2007 film)[2] and the movie Baby, Baby, Baby!.[3] He is also the screenwriter[4] for the Atashin'chi anime movie in the year of 2003.[5]

Life

She first met Mitsuo Fukuda during their school days when she was an amateur Doujin artist and writer. They enrolled in different high school, but participated in the Doujin fandom community, and remained together still after their graduation.[6]

Even though she later graduated from the junior college with her child care (保育科) academic degree she would later become an office worker,[6] while he joined Sunrise (company) in 1979, at the age of 19.[7]

They eventually married and she became a housewife. As of April 2008, she had two children with him.[8]

Career

Although she did not write for a anime until Future GPX Cyber Formula Saga,[6][9] her husband consulted with her since the beginning of the Future GPX Cyber Formula,[9] the first anime series that he directed.[6]

She is the creator of the fictional universe of "Cosmic Era",[10] the setting (narrative) for the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED (in which she is the head writer)[9][11] and its related series.[10][12] It would later be use by other writers, such as the writer for the spin off Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Astray[13] which can effect the one written by Morosawa herself whose writing of the sequel Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny[9][14] will in turn effect everyone else, for example, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Stargazer.[15]

In the year of 2002, after the end of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" production, her medical diagnosis revealed the presence of Ovarian Cyst and Uterine Fibroid. This caused the production of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny" to result in chaos. Although she managed to complete the outline for the plot, the requirement of continuous treatment for her illness led to the indefinite postponement of the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Movie.[8]

In the year of 2014, she scripted a series of drama CD's featuring the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED characters for the "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny HD Remaster Blu-ray Box". They were entitled "Omake Quarters".[16]

Death

She died on 19 February 2016, at the age of 56, from aortic dissection.[9][17]
