On April of the same year, she and Chase announced their split.[16]
D'Amelio has been subject to bullying and body shaming.[17] She and her sister made a video for UNICEF about social media and bullying.[17]
In April 2020, D'Amelio donated $50,000 to her hometown hospital, Norwalk Hospital, to help secure critical supplies for the hospital's staff amid the COVID-19 pandemic.[18]
According to a Forbes report published in August 2020, D'Amelio earned $4 million in 2019 from her numerous sponsorship deals and merchandise, making her the second highest-earning TikTok star.[19]
