History
On November 10, 2011, the owners of the Haliburton Broadcasting Group received approval from the CRTC to operate a new FM radio station at Prescott on 107.9 MHz.[1]
On April 23, 2012 Vista Broadcast Group, which owns a number of radio stations in western Canada, announced a deal to acquire Haliburton Broadcasting, in cooperation with Westerkirk Capital.[2] The transaction was approved by the CRTC on October 19, 2012.[3]
CKPP began broadcasting as 107.9 Coast FM on October 22, 2015.[4]
