In his review for Allmusic, Thom Jurek stated " Byrd establishes himself here as an individual voice on the trumpet and as a leader as well... While this date may not be of interest to Byrd's soul-jazz fans, it will no doubt enlighten those who are partial to Byrd's early Blue Note material".[2]

gollark: I mean, unix FSes are case sensitive.
gollark: Seems reasonable.
gollark: Well, the issue is this:- I would be very annoyed if linking to things was case-sensitive- I can make SQLite look up stuff case-insensitively, but this would cause further bee with other components probably
