Botho University
Botho University (formerly known as Botho College/NIIT) is Botswana's largest private tertiary educational provider, founded in 1997. The college offers certificates, diplomas and graduate degrees in accountancy and computer science. It is the first private tertiary institution in the country to be accredited by the Tertiary Education Council (TEC). All of its programs are also accredited by the Botswana Qualification Authority (BQA). It has trained 16,000 graduates, and enrolls 4,000 students, supported by 150 academic staff.

Academic support
The Management Information Services Department oversees attendance records, provides academic transcripts and certificates, and is the central repository for student related information.
The Assessments Department manages and conducts examinations, and oversees fulfilment of the Academic Honesty Policy.
The Projects Office provides work-study opportunities, applying skills in actual projects while still in school. Under the supervision of staff, student interns in computer science develop applications for use in Botho College administrative offices, as well as for outside institutions. Among computer programs developed by Botho Projects Office student interns are the college's Student Management system, the Leave Management system and Issue Tracker; as well as The Botho College website.
The Student Services Department manages extracurricular activities. Student activity groups include sports clubs such as basketball, volleyball, netball, chess, soccer, and table tennis. Hon-sporting clubs include drama, ballroom dancing, Hip-Hop dance, Christian Movement Society, and the Debating Society. The Student Services Department handles grievances, and oversees The Student Representative Council.
The Career Advisory Services office provides free career counseling, help with internship and graduate placement. Workshops with outside experts are held on campus, providing resources on career opportunities. The department maintains connections with employers, as liaison for candidates for internships and long-term employment.
The Botho University Alumni Association was formed to provide former students with an opportunity to remain in contact with their former classmates. All Botho College students are enrolled as members.
Library
Thousands of books are found in the reading rooms. Books on accounting, business, computing and education have been acquired to support the major areas of study. Access to library resources and services is assisted by the Internet Public Access Catalog. The library subscribes to databases allowing students access to e-journals, magazines, books, country reports, and other multimedia. The library supports wireless connectivity to the Internet. The library bulletin makes students and staff aware of developments in the library.[2]
Extra-curricular activities
Botho University Linkz ICT Challenge
In 2009, Botho College launched an ICT-based competition called LINKZ The ICT Challenge, which brings together the best ICT students in the country. For this competition Botho University launched a page on their website. It tests students' knowledge in the field of company technology. In 2009, Linkz ICT Challenge brought together more than 300 young people from tertiary institutions including University of Botswana, Gaborone Institute of Professional Studies, Ba Isago College, ABM University, and Limkowing University of Creative Technology.[3][4][5]

Setswana Wikipedia Challenge
In October 2011, the college hosted the Setswana Wikipedia Challenge. This was a challenge based on bringing Africa's information online by creating Wikipedia articles in the Setswana language. In Google's Setswana Wikipedia Challenge contest, entrants submitted an original article to Wikipedia or a translation for an existing Wikipedia article into Setswana. The challenge was sponsored by Google in conjunction with Wikimedia Kenya.

Botho University Contributes to World Telecommunications and Information Society Day 2017
Masunga Village hosted the 15th anniversary of the World telecommunications and Information Society Day 2017 and was commemorated on the 17th May 2017.[6] The World telecommunications and Information Society Day is an annual event which aims to aid raise awareness of the probability that utilises the internet and other related information communication technologies can bring to societies and economies, as well as awareness to bridge the digital divide. The theme of the event was Big data Big Impact, focus on the power of big data for development.
WTISD 2017 was sponsored by quite a good number of organisations ranging from government to private institutions, which included the Botswana fibre networks (BOFINET), Water utilities corporation, Botswana railways, Botswana communications regulatory authority, Botswana international university of science and technology, Mascom wireless and the Department of information technology. Botho University also sponsored the World Telecommunications and information Society Day 2017, and awarded the certificates to the 15 student who received training from them. The certificates were presented by the Administrator or dean of the office of staff students and outreach Mr. Mosoma Kgotla.
