Bethel Royals football
The Bethel Royals football program represents Bethel University of Arden Hills, Minnesota in college football. Bethel competes at the NCAA Division III level as members of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). The head coach of the Royals is Steve Johnson, who has held the position since 1989.

Bethel plays its home gams at Royal Stadium, located on the campus in Arden Hills, Minnesota. Royal Stadium was built in 1995 and renovated in 2001.
History
Bethel has had 14 head coaches since organized football started in 1947. Adopting the nickname "Royals", the team has played more than 650 games in their 71 seasons. The winningest coach in program history is Steve Johnson with a 216–99–1 career record. On April 2, 2016, Steve Johnson was inducted into the Minnesota Football Coaches Hall of Fame.
Bethel has appeared in 2 Division III Final Four Playoffs (2007, 2010).

Murderer's Row (2013 Wide Receiving Corps)
At the beginning of the 2013 football season, the Bethel Royals Wide Receiving Corps was dubbed "Murderer's row". The group of wide receivers was the most productive unit in the history of the program – Accumulating the most touchdown receptions, pass receptions and yards. Lead by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference MVP Quarterback, Erik Peterson, "Murderer's Row" consisted of First-Team All Conference player Mitch Hallstrom, Jay Hilbrands, Reese "Cheese" Walker, Jared Schultz and Grant Mitchell. The group of Wide Receiver's caught 270 receptions accumulating for over 3,465 total yards and 28 touchdowns.[10]
