Barbora Votíková

Barbora Votíková (born 13 September 1996) is a Czech women's football goalkeeper playing in SK Slavia Prague and in the national team.[1] Also known as 'Bára', she is also a YouTuber, author, comedian, and presenter.[2]

Football career

TJ Sokol Plasy

Born in Plasy, Barbora started as a teenager in the local football club TJ Sokol Plasy, where she played with boys.

FC Viktoria Plzeň

Later she played in FC Viktoria Plzeň. In 2013 when she was age 17, she started to play in the senior A team.

SK Slavia Prague

In 2014 SK Slavia Prague selected Barbora and this year she played the UEFA Champions League for the first time.[3] In the 2014/2015 season she won the domestic league title. Votíková helped Slavia reach the quarter-finals of the 2017–18 UEFA Women's Champions League.[4]

YouTube

On 12 April 2015 she started a YouTube channel, and on 11 November 2019 it has over 77 million views.[5]

Personal life

In 2019, a book called Bára Votíková: Trochu jinak (English: Bára Votíková: A Little Different) written by herself has been published.[6] She came out as lesbian in the book.[7]
