Bakhyt Sultanov

Bakhyt Turlykhanuly Sultanov (Kazakh: Бақыт Тұрлыханұлы Сұлтанов, Baqyt Turlyhanuly Sultanov) was the Minister of Economic Affairs and Budget Planning in the Government of Kazakhstan from 2013 to 2018.[1]

He was born in 1971 and graduated from the Kazakh National Technical University, State Academy of Management with majors in engineering and economics. After graduation, he worked in the Ministry of Finance where he progressed from senior economist to being director of the department.

He was appointed Vice-Minister of Economic Affairs and Budget Planning, Chaired Statistics Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan and served as Vice-minister of Finance. During 2007-2010, he was the Minister of Economic Affairs and Budget Planning. He was appointed as Assistant of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on March 15, 2010.[2] In January 2012, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.[3]
