Army Medical Services

Role

AMS is responsible for administering the four separate corps that deliver medical, veterinary, dental and nursing services in the British Army. These are:[2]

AMS contributes to the conservation of fighting strength and morale of the Army and advises commanders on matters of health and disease.[3]

Administration and leadership

The Army Medical Services are administered by Headquarters Army Medical Directorate at Andover under the command of the Director General Army Medical Services (DGAMS), formerly Major General Jeremy Rowan.

gollark: If people just sit there militarylessly, they will be invaded whenever some sufficiently mean person realizes that they can have a military.

gollark: It's one of those coordination problems where you cannot get rid of it because other people have it.
gollark: Probably the social barriers might be significant, since there doesn't actually seem to be much investment in AI art things. Which I can interpret as a lot of presumably smart companies being wildly irrational, or it being less important than I think.
