History

The body was founded in Sydney on 17–18 January 1948 as the Archery Association of Australia. In 1993, the body took its current name of Archery Australia.[1]

Structure

The Association was previously governed by a Board composed of eight societies (Archery Society of NSW, Archery ACT, Archery Victoria, Archery Society of Tasmania, Archery South Australia, Archery Society of Western Australia, Archery Society of North Queensland and Archery Society of South Queensland). The day-to-day affairs of the association were managed by an Executive Committee.[1]

In 2001, the Board dramatically changed the constitution. The Archery Board now comprises four elected and up to three appointed Board members. The day-to-day affairs of the association are managed by the Chief Executive Officer, Jim Larven.[1]

gollark: It's credit score, not credit card credit, and much more limited in scope.
gollark: That is an extremely terrible font.
gollark: I mean, there's the issue of... their disregard for human rights? I care about that even if they don't affect other countries too badly directly.
gollark: It works better on philosophers, since you can steal their wallet while they're distracted thinking about it.
gollark: They probably can't/won't eternally torture you, but there's a *possibility* of that infinite harm which is reduced by giving them £100, and if you accept the Pascal's Wager logic you should do that.
