- Issele-Mkpitime. This town was founded by an Issele Ukwu hunter who had travelled in search of water for his farming activity when he discovered the Mkpitime creek. He eventually had to settle nearby and raised his family there. Even though Issele Mkpitime is a town, it still maintains strong ties with sister towns of Issele Ukwu and Issele Azagba to the point that no boundary is traditionally recognized between Issele Ukwu and it, not withstanding their contiguity.
