Akbar Khamiso Khan

Akbar Khamiso Khan (Urdu: :اکبر خمیسو خان ، Sindhi: :اڪبر خميسو خان) is an Alghoza player from the Sindh province of Pakistan.[1][2]

Early life

Akbar Khamiso Khan, (son of renowned Alghoza player Khamiso Khan), was born on 10th August[3] 1967 in Hyderabad, Hyderabad District, Sindh, Pakistan.[4]

Contribution

He has performed both domestically as well as internationally. One of his most notable performances was at the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of OIC in Saudi Arabia.[5] Akbar plays tunes from all the provinces of Pakistan.[6]

Awards

Akbar Khamiso won the Pride of Performance prize in 2010.[7][8]
