2021 Dakar Rally

The 43rd edition of Dakar Rally is set to be held in Saudi Arabia for the second time[1][2] The marathon will be held for 14 days, starting from 3rd January till 15th January 2021 in cooperation with the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation.[3] The race will start and end in Jeddah, allowing the competitors to venture through the desert and alongside the Rea Sea. In addition, the competitors will be having a rest day at Ha'il on 9th January.[4][5] The rally got affected by COVID-19 pandemic, it was initially intended for the race route to include 2-3 countries but due the flight restrictions, Dakar 2021 is set to run entirely in Saudi Arabia.[6][7]
