The league will kick off on 8 August 2020.[1][2] and finished on 29 January 2020.[3] It is scheduled to finish in December 2020. However, last year it ended up to February. So it could also be for this year that the league will not end in 2020, but in 2021, however no later than February 2021 because the league has to be on time for the OFC Champions League.

Teams

Eleven teams play the 2020 season, an increase from nine in the 2019–2020 season.[4][5] FC Guadalcanal from the previous season did not enter, and were replaced by Central Coast, Honiary City and Southern United. The goal of the Solomon Islands Football Federation is to have a league of 12 to 14 competitors in the near future, so an increase of two, from 9 up to 11, is a step in the right direction.
