2020 Florida A&M Rattlers football team

The 2020 Florida A&M Rattlers football team will represented Florida A&M University in the 2020 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The Rattlers will be led by third-year head coach Willie Simmons. They will play their home games at Bragg Memorial Stadium and are a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).

On July 16, 2020, the MEAC announced that it would cancel its fall sports seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The league has not ruled out the possibility of playing in the spring.[1] The schedule below is as it appeared at the time of the cancellation.

The Rattlers finished the 2019 season 9–2, 7–1 in MEAC play to finish with the best overall record in the MEAC and across all HBCU schools. However, in May 2019, Florida A&M was banned from 2019 postseason play,[2] so could not compete in the Celebration Bowl or for a MEAC championship.

Schedule

Florida A&M had a game scheduled against Southern to be played September 12, but that contest was cancelled on June 17, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3] A replacement game against Jackson State was scheduled on June 25.[4]
