2020–21 FC Viitorul Constanța season

The 2020–21 season is the 12th season in Viitorul Constanța's history, and the 9th in the top-flight of Romanian football. Viitorul competes in Liga I and in the Cupa României.

July

On 6 July, Cosmin Dur-Bozoancă has returned from the loan at Universitatea Cluj.Cosmin was one of the main players at Universitatea Cluj and ASU Politehnica Timișoara, where he played 88 games. He was also called up at Romania national under-21 football team for the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification Group 8 match against Denmark national under-21 football team.[1]

The players: George Ganea, Virgil Ghiță, Andrei Ciobanu and Carlo Casap from FC Viitorul Constanța were called up to the Romania national under-21 football team for the friendly match against FC Farul Constanța held at Mogoșoaia, on 6 August.[2]

On 31 July, the club announced that they have signed the Spanish player Victor Fernández Satue.[3]

August

On 6 August, George Ganea scored two goals for Romania national under-21 football team in the friendly match against FC Farul Constanța. Virgil Ghiță, Andrei Ciobanu and Carlo Casap were in the first XI.

On 7 August , FC Viitorul Constanța appointed Rubén Alfonso de la Barrera Fernández as the new Manager of the team and Francisco Ruiz Beltrán , Pere Romeu Sunyer and Iván Peñaranda Llauradó as Assistant Managers. They were presented in a press conference alongside the President of the club, Gheorghe Popescu and the Sporting Director, Zoltán Iasko.[4]

On 10 August Rubén Alfonso de la Barrera Fernández led the first training session at FC Viitorul Constanța.In the same day, Alexandru Mățan and Valentin Cojocaru have returned from the loan at FC Voluntari.[5]

FC Viitorul Constanța and KS Cracovia reached an agreement for the transfer of Rivaldinho to the Polish club for a fee of €300,000.[6]
