- January 1 - The Eurasian Economic Union came into effect, creating a political and economic union between Russia, Belarus, Armenia and Kazakhstan.

gollark: <@514040045120913410> That is... kind of bad, some offense.Firstly, the indents. Secondly, using `shell.run` to download files and whatnot is kind of inelegant and probably slow. Thirdly, I don't think it's an "OS" particularly.

gollark: And has less evil drivers and doesn't do market segmentation through them.
