gollark: Generally what I do is just search XDA and the internet for a phone, to see about what sort of custom ROM scene it has.
gollark: In general I think MediaTek ones are bad for that because they blatantly ignore the GPL.

gollark: I want roughly that except not games or YouTube and it has to be something I can remove Google stuff from and ideally it should have a good battery and no notch and repairability.
