1987 FIBA Under-19 World Championship
The 1987 FIBA Under-19 World Championship was the third edition of the FIBA Under-19 World Cup and was held in Bormio, Italy from July 29 to August 5, 1987. Yugoslavia won their first and only championship (as Yugoslavia) in the tournament after beating the defending champions, the United States, 86–76 in the final.[1] Toni Kukoč was named the tournament MVP.[2]

Several players who played at the tournament have been inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame, including Vlade Divac and Toni Kukoč, while Gary Payton, Dino Rađa, and Divac are members of the Basketball Hall of Fame.
