The 1982 Brit Awards were the 2nd edition of the biggest annual pop music awards in the United Kingdom. They are run by the British Phonographic Industry and took place on 4 February 1982 at Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

The mains, as connected to most conventional lightbulb fittings (designed for incandescent/flourescent) provides high-voltage AC. This means that every LED lightbulb needs inefficient and probably somewhat expensive power supply circuitry.
