1973 US Open – Women's Singles

Margaret Court defeated Evonne Goolagong 7–6, 5–7, 6–2 in the final to win the Women's Singles tennis title at the 1973 US Open. This was her record extending 24th and final grand slam singles title, a record she holds to this day. Billie Jean King was the two-time defending champion, but lost in the third round to Julie Heldman.
