1 March - Kirsti Sparboe is selected to represent Norway at the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest with her song "Oj, oj, oj, så glad jeg skal bli". She is selected to be the tenth Norwegian Eurovision entry during Norsk Melodi Grand Prix held at NRK Studios in Oslo.
