1947 Chico State Wildcats football team
The 1947 Chico State Wildcats football team represented Chico State College[note 1] during the 1947 college football season. Chico State competed in the Far Western Conference in 1947. They played home games at Chico High School in Chico, California.

- Hamilton Army Airfield was a United States Air Force Base from 1934 to 1974.
- California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) was located in San Dimas, California and known as Cal Poly Voorhis Unit from 1938 to 1956. However, it was more commonly known as Cal Poly (San Dimas).
- Humboldt State University was known as Humboldt State College from 1935 to 1972.
