January 11-13 - Voters in El Salvador voted Labor candidate Arturo Araujo as President with 46.65% of the vote in El Salvador's first free and fair election.[1]

March

March 1 - Arturo Araujo was sworn in as President of El Salvador. Maximiliano Hernández Martínez was sworn in as Vice President.

December

December 2 - The Armed Forces of El Salvador deposed President Araujo in a military coup d'état and established the Civic Directory.
December 4 - General Maximiliano Hernández Martínez, previously Vice President of El Salvador under Araujo, became Acting President of El Salvador.

gollark: On the plus side the PinePhone at least will let you swap the battery and probably screen, the Librem 5 has its cellular modem and WiFi card on separate, er, M.2 cards, and the PinePhone will apparently have some I2C pogo pins to allow, say, keyboard cases.
