Sheldania Hax
Sheldania Hax was a merchant who specialised in buoyant timber. She travelled to and from the Sumpwood Stands in the Midwood Marshes to buy lumber for resale in larger settlements.[1]
Behind the scenes
Sheldania, along with five other characters, was created for a 2014 competition for the Guardian children's books site. The drawings of the characters were given to the winner of the contest, along with a copy of The Nameless One.[1] The other characters created for the competition were:
