Centenius Flaxflave was a skilled gambler who made a living in the grand saloon of the Xanth Filatine.[1]
Behind the scenes
Centenius, along with five other characters, was created for a 2014 competition for the Guardian children's books site. The drawings of the characters were given to the winner of the contest, along with a copy of The Nameless One.[1] The other characters created for the competition were:
