The Second Age of Darkness was a period of time that lasted for about 4600 years, between the end of the Time of Enlightenment and the beginning of the First Age of Flight.

History

The era was begun at the abrupt end of the Time of Enlightenment by the Mother Storm of c. -5000 ᴇ.ʏ.. Many of the advancements made during the Time of Enlightenment were lost and the Union of a Thousand Tribes devolved into war and infighting. The clans of the Deepwoods ended up being much the same as they were during the late First Age of Darkness, as slavery was also reintroduced.^[1] Few battles were recorded from this period, all of which were simply over land disputes.^[2]
