School of Edge Cliff Studies

The School of Edge Cliff Studies was a school in the Great Glade Academy. The Society of Descenders was a division of it[1], and the School had some connections to the School of Restoration of the Sumpwood Bridge Academy in Hive[2]. By 600 ᴇ.ʏ., academics in the School of Edge Cliff Studies had developed a theory that the Edge cliff had an end somewhere far below the clouds, so if someone fell of, they would not fall for ever[3]. The School struggled on after the Society was disbanded due to lack of funds in 590 ᴇ.ʏ., but in 600 ᴇ.ʏ., after the controversial apparent failure of Ifflix Hentadile’s descending expedition, funding to the School of Edge Cliff Studies was completely[4] cut and many of its academics were lured away to other institutions[1].
