Reckonings (trials)

Reckonings were events that occurred in the Free Glades in the Second Age of Flight. They were conducted by the Keeper of the Garden of Thoughts in the Waif Glen, and their purpose was to determine rather or not a questionable individual should be welcomed as a Freeglader.[1] In Freeglader, Xanth Filatine had a Reckoning and was accepted as a Freeglader[2].

Procedure

Before a Reckoning, its subject would be confined to the Gardens of Light. On the day of the Reckoning, which could take a few weeks to arrive[2], the subject would come to the Waif Glen, along with everyone who had been summoned, and everyone else who wanted to attend for their own reasons. During the Reckoning, the Keeper of the Garden of Thoughts would wander among the attendees, seeking out individuals they deemed relevant and listening to their thoughts. Eventually, after hearing enough information, the Keeper would announce their decision.[1]
