Armada of the Dead's marching song

The Armada of the Dead marching through the mud.

The Armada of the Dead had a marching song they would sing when marching through the mire. The sky pirates would march in a single file, all connected with a rope around their waste following the brazier-carrier. To keep a steady rythm, they chanted in unison in a dirge-like marching song about their enemies, notably Mother Muleclaw II and General General Tytugg.

Role in the Edge Chronicles

In Freeglader, the Armada of the Dead sang their marching song when they walked to the Great Mire Road to help the undertowners during the Third Great Migration. Rook found the steady beat helpful to keep marching, even though he was exhausted.[1]
