Windows 8.1 is an updated version of Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system. Windows 8.1 went RTM on August 27, 2013 and was released for general availability on October 17, 2013. There are 4 versions of Windows 8.1, matching those that were available in Windows 8. They are: Windows 8.1, Windows 8.1 Pro, Windows 8.1 Enterprise and Windows 8.1 RT.
