Kubuntu is a popular Linux distribution based on Ubuntu and the KDE desktop environment

enter image description here

Kubuntu is a popular Linux distribution based on and the desktop environment. The motto of the distribution is "Friendly computing". Besides providing an up-to-date version of the KDE desktop at the time of the release, the project also releases updated KDE packages throughout the lifetime of each release.

Because Ubuntu and Kubuntu use the same sources, any application intended for one is installable and runnable on the other.

A better place for questions on Kubuntu is probably the stackexchange site askubuntu.com.
