I run an XMPP server and I am having troubles with my client connecting to it. I normally just use the client psi-plus and this fails to connect and gives me very little information on how.
I am trying to find a tool that basically acts like an XMPP client and can connect/authenticate while showing me what is happening every step of the way. I have not been able to find such a tool on search engines.
If there is no such tool it would be good to know the best XMPP client at giving me some verbose information about what happens when I try to connect and authenticate.
I know the XMPP server logs are important but I actually can't find much in them that is relevant to the problems I am having. It would be nice to see what exactly upsets my client when it did not before.
