I create a vm instance from marketplace called djangostack I can connect to the files on ssh button on Compute engine page!

But how can I access the files of that django and re-write codes and do the other stuff? cause I only can reach the files by cloudshell but when I go to online editor by google I can't access the files as you see on the screenshot below.. why? or what's the right way to do it? cause I've been tried since 2 days and literally I didn't find anything...

thanks in advance

  • Have you tried using root permission `sudo su`? Also, how are you trying to edit the files? Based from your screenshot, I don't see any error message. Have you tried using VIM or Nano text editor from SSH with a root permission? – Alex G Jan 22 '21 at 04:43
  • I was meaning access the files on the list at the left side in screenshot why I can't see them there... like when you edit files on visual studio code or normal documents on your pc "the normal way".. because It's easier than terminal way... thanks – AzizMayo29 Jan 22 '21 at 09:46
  • [This guide](https://www.onepagezen.com/google-cloud-ftp-filezilla-quick-start) will use Filezilla like "the normal way" as you have stated. I am not sure about the code editor that you are using if it has the same capabilities. – Alex G Jan 27 '21 at 02:33
