Robert Sungenis

Robert Sungenis is the founder of Catholic Apologetics International.[1] He is an antisemite, Holocaust denier, and International Jewish conspiracy crank.[2] Currently he is very much involved with trying to prove geocentrism.

Sungenis is also a promoter of pseudoscience and conspiracy theories more generally.

He holds a "doctorate" from Calamus International University in the Republic of Vanuatu, a noted diploma mill.[3][4][5]

Assorted wild beliefs

  • Sungenis promotes the idea that the moon landings never happened. He believes that "Any intelligent person who has studied the issue is going to have doubts as to whether the United States had the capability to put a man on the moon in 1969."
  • He believes that the United States government is actively producing crop circles. He thinks that "crop circles can be made from space with lasers or plasma projectors," and that NASA would simply have to "put a digital pattern in a laser/plasma projector aboard a satellite and then shoot it down to earth, and presto, you have a crop circle." The point of such an exercise? "It gets everybody talking about UFOs… getting our minds off the Bible and Christ by making it look like neither are true."
  • He believes that Al-Qaeda was not responsible for the 9/11 attacks. He instead blames Israel, suggesting they probably used low-yield nuclear weapons.
  • Sungenis claims that dinosaurs co-existed with humans but that there's a conspiracy to suppress the evidence.[5]
  • He believes that God is directing him to promote geocentrism.[6][7] He is currently promoting a book (Galileo Was Wrong, The Church Was Right) and a film (The Principle) that promote the idea that the Earth is at the center of the Solar System.

Sungenis hawks publications ranging from relatively cheap introductions to geocentrism to books costing a hundred bucks a pop.[8]
