Maximized Living

Maximized Living is an organization of so called "Christian" chiropractors, who purportedly advise on nutrition and exercise to maximize your health.

An editor believes that this article may not further our mission statements:
  1. Analyzing and refuting pseudoscience and the anti-science movement.
  2. Documenting the full range of crank ideas.
  3. Explorations of authoritarianism and fundamentalism.
  4. Analysis and criticism of how these subjects are handled in the media.

Founders

The organization is led by two so called "doctors", with a network of over 1000 so called "providers".

Beliefs

They claim to believe in 5 essentials for good health. These are:

  • Maximized mind, focusing on time management and stress reduction.
  • Maximized nerve supply.
  • Maximized quality nutrition.
  • Maximized oxygen and lean muscle.
  • Minimized toxins.

Claims

  • "In order to maximize nerve supply, it requires spinal correction." Which is not a big surprise for a group of chiropractors. However this is a false claim. The saying "if it ain't broke, then don't fix it" comes into play here.
  • Maximized Living claim that they can "show you that cancer's cause is actually its cure". This is actually a false claim.

Publications

A book on maximized living, Body by God: The Owners Manual for Maximized Living by Ben Lerner, explains the so called "basic beliefs" of the group.

gollark: It would be unreasonable to run it through full scale trials, but obviously someone will demand it anyway.
gollark: I assume they'd just switch out the DNA/RNA they're copying from.
gollark: Yes, it seems like nobody is fixing that despite it not being too hard to do so?
gollark: Pfizer do say that you are somewhat okay with three doses, but there is the obvious conflict of interest there.
gollark: My friend made a Minecraft server scanner thing and just found whitelisted servers or got banned. You were clearly anomalously lucky.
