Background
Model number: T2102
The eufy RoboVac 11, released in 2016, quickly became a cheaper alternative to the popular Roomba models of that time.
The average price at its release was around $260.
The relatively small and circular design allows for cleaning in small spaces, however it can be a hindrance in larger rooms or tight corners.
The eufy Robovac 11 features: a remote control, a tempered glass top, a charging dock for self-charging, six cleaning modes, a sturdy bumper, 11 infrared sensors toward the front, and an easy release dustbin.
The standard package includes a charging dock, four attachable side brushes (two spares), two extra filters, and a cleaning tool.
The main drawbacks of this model are that its infrared sensors have difficulty perceiving dark floors, it has trouble picking up animal hair which also gets stuck in various places throughout the device, it has a long charging time, and its interior parts can be a challenge to access or clean.
The most common problems reported with this model were irregular cleaning paths, difficulty with charging, the remote control not working, decreased suction power over time, parts becoming stuck, and strange noises coming from the robovac. However, the majority of these problems could be remedied easily either by restarting/recalibrating the robovac or cleaning it.
As of 2019 the manufacturer has discontinued the Robovac 11 and replaced it with the Robovac 11s (which released in 2018). The main differences are that the 11s is smaller, has more suction power, shorter charging time, longer cleaning time, and the interior parts are easier to access/clean.
Major facts about the device
The six cleaning modes:
- Auto cleaning
- eufy scans and evaluates the space and chooses the cleaning mode accordingly. When the battery is low or the area is cleaned it will return to the charging dock.
- Spot cleaning
- eufy cleans a specific area in a spiral pattern. This mode focuses on an area with a concentrated amount of debris.
- Single room cleaning
- eufy will only clean one room and then stop.
- Edge cleaning
- eufy will follow walls and travel along the edges of a room.
- Manual cleaning
- The user controls the direction of eufy using the remote control. This is used to clean a specific area of your choosing, help eufy get unstuck, or to maneuver it around obstacles
- Max cleaning
- This mode is similar to the auto mode but in addition, eufy utilizes the maximum suction power it has to offer. This mode is ideal for cleaning carpets.
There is an option to schedule specific cleaning times
Utilizes an anti-drop sensor
HEPA filter
Carpet boost
- Sensors that detect carpet and increase suction power
