The Toro Log Splitter 22618 (also identified by model number LS-922 or serial number 400000000 - 401999999) is a log-splitting machine that can be operated horizontally or vertically. This model includes a Honda GX270 general-purpose motor.
The Toro Log Splitter LS-922 features an adjustable torsion suspension axle that is designed for smoother transportation and trailering. Its adjustable swing-away towing jack and pneumatic tires allows the user to position the log splitter more easily.
The Honda General Purpose Motor model GX270UT2 is an air-cooled, four-stroke, overhead-valve engine. It can hold up to 5.6 quarts of gasoline and 1.16 quarts of engine oil. Honda recommends using unleaded 86 octane or higher fuel for this engine.
This machine is referred to by one of two model numbers: the 22618HD or the 22618. These two numbers are referred to in the operating manual as two different models, but the manual gives no distinguishing features between the two machines. They share the same safety information, specifications, and operation features, and are therefore essentially the same machine. This log splitter also has several variations with the same model number. However, they have different serial numbers, which indicate the year that they were released.
