Background and Identification
Manufactured by Toro, the Toro Log Splitter LS-922 is a heavy-duty, commercial grade wood splitter for professional use. It can split both horizontal and vertical positions with a dual wheel jack for maneuverability over different types of terrain. The log splitter takes 12 seconds to split a log of wood.
The Toro LS-922 has a rubber torsion suspension axle and an adjustable swing-away towing jack with pneumatic tires for positioning the machine on hard-to-reach jobsites. It also includes an I-beam, splitter wedge, and torsion axle. There are tail lights and front amber lights as well as light brackets that protect the tail lights from any falling logs. The LS-922 log splitter is available in both red and black and is still being sold or rented by different vendors.
It should be noted that the Toro Company recalled certain 2017-2020 model 22618HD log splitters due to the possibility of the tow pole mounting plates bending when the log splitter is towed off curbs, railroad tracks, or potholes, which can cause the tow pole bolts to break.
