The Galaxy Nexus was released on December 15, 2011. It was developed by Google and Samsung and sports an HD 720p Super AMOLED display, curved glass, an improved camera system, and Google's Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system. It was made available on the Verizon network and for sale on sites such as Amazon Wireless.
