These are some common tools used to work on this device. You might not need every tool for every procedure.
Device Identification and Background
The Galaxy is a touch screen "smart phone" made by Samsung Electronics.
The front of the device is glossy black with 4 touch sensitive buttons and the word "Samsung" above the buttons. The back of the device has a camera and flash in the top right corner and the word "Galaxy S" on the bottom right.
If you take off the rear case and the battery, there should be a sticker that has "Model:SCH-i500" on the first line
