Background

The Dell Chromebook 3110 was released in February of 2022, succeeding the Dell Chromebook 3100, which was released in 2019. The Chromebook 3110 is a cost-effective machine in Dell's line of Chromebook products. Retailing at $289.99, it is primarily marketed to students of grades four through twelve. The Dell Chromebook 3110 has two separate form factors: a traditional laptop, and a "2n1" which has a touch screen and tablet configuration. Dell sold approximately 19.2 million Chromebooks from among all generations and models in 2022, and the 3110 specifically has not faced any catastrophic failures or recall. Users frequently complain of issues with the battery or charging the device, the functionality of the webcam, and software issues such as online lagging, freezing, and crashing.

Identification

The Dell Chromebook 3110's plastic case is two slightly different charcoal-grey tones, measuring approximately 12 inches by 8 inches, by just under 1 inch (when closed). It is identified most clearly by the Google Chromebook logo, whose colors stand out in its top-left position on the case, and by the dell logo engraved in a metallic color in a central position on the case.
