Background and Identification
The Acer Chromebook C740-C4PE is an Acer produced model of the Chromebook laptops. It was released in 2015, with a price tag of $250. It is very similar to the Acer Chromebook C720, however it has a more powerful processor (a Celeron 3205U), slightly enhanced battery life, and the potential for more storages (up to 32GB on an SSD). The C740-C4PE also has 4 GB of ram, coupled with a HD display with a resolution of 1366x768.
The Acer Chromebook C740-C4PE is a very light laptop. This is due to the fact that it is not a very powerful machine, and not a lot of components and/or cooling is needed. Therefore, it comes in at a weight of only 2.87 pounds. The device comes with a brushed metal look to it as well, and it is made out of a sturdy plastic. The C740-C4PE appears very similar to the C720 in terms of looks, however a good way to tell them apart is that only the C740-C4PE has a brushed metal finish to it.
