Valkrym
Hello, I'd say I'm about half way done with Valkrym (5e Class) and I wonder if you are happy with the direction is going in and if you would like me to continue, thanks. Marasmusine (talk) 15:01, 31 October 2016 (MDT)
Sure, it's looking ok for now. However, I have noticed one problem. Darkened Soul effectively HALVES the number of Hit Points regained through Evocation spells. And it remains that way until 3rd level spells are unlocked at 9th level (Vampiric Touch).
So that's a whole 8 levels without a self healing mechanism, which is not how the Valkrym should function. DrENigma (talk) 21:48, 3 November 2016 (GMT)
- They can self healing using their hit dice, as normal. I have successfully run 5e campaigns that did not include any healing spells (no cleric in the party). A cleric is nice, but the game is designed to be able to run without one. The party can regain hit points using their hit dice, and by using healing potions. Darkened Soul is a minor inconvenience. I'll work some more on it soon! Marasmusine (talk) 12:01, 5 November 2016 (MDT)
Hello, I would appreciate your feedback on the current state of the class, I think it's more or less finished, and would appreciate any kind of paypal donation (whatever you think it's worth) per our agreement! Marasmusine (talk) 02:11, 19 November 2016 (MST)
- Hi DrENigma, I am glad that you like the finished class. Either you can make a paypal account and send the payment to duncan_timiney@hotmail.com - or I can email you a paypal link (if you email me then I can sent it as a reply). Marasmusine (talk) 10:14, 20 November 2016 (MST)
This is in reply to the message you left me. You keep making the class quite overpowered. When you submitted the work to this wiki, you permit others to edit it. As it says at the bottom of every edit page: "If you do not want your writing to be edited mercilessly and redistributed at will, then do not submit it here." If that's no good, perhaps publish it on your own blog instead. Furthermore, I only became involved in the class because you took me up on my rewrite service, then as far as I can tell you didn't make a donation for my time. I also twice asked on the class talk page for you to discuss the changes (because maybe I could work them in, in a balanced way), but I got no response from you. I will continue to edit the page to make sure it stays balanced. Marasmusine (talk) 14:20, 30 January 2017 (MST)
You complain about how the page is being handled, but you don't respond to messages on the page's talk page, or on my talk page or your talk page. You continue to be uncommunicative and to make the class overpowered. I am reverting the page and protecting it. Again I am asking you to discuss the changes on the talk page.
