One of the strongest "animals" found in Batheron's Heel, the Amphibia Manipulae, otherwise refered to as Theron Enslavers, are immensely powerful psychic creatures. Generally found within the center of island, in its flatter, more open areas. It takes the form of a massive, bipedal frog, with rather rough gray and white skin. Due to a lack of any use, it has next to no muscle, but still maintains some strength. Possibly an indicator for its psychic power, it has a large, extra eyeball in the center of its face, but the most bizzare feature is the mass of chitinous skulls that cover it's chest, which are all roughly human-esc. The slaver is a very lazy creature, seemingly all due to its psionic capabilities. It can endlessly float, so it doesn't use it's legs, and it could pick up anything it might need with relative ease, due to its telepathy. However, likely the biggest thing that plays into this laziness is it's ability to dominate people and animals through mind control, almost endlessly. This tends to cause it to lie about, while it's servants helplessly do as it's animalistic brain desires. Very peculiar, the fact that it is also able to dominate several Thri-Manipulus with one fell swoop. While animalistic, yes, it still acts with a degree of intelligence on par, sometimes superior, to that of dolphins. However, even with this generally poor intelligence, they are still incredibly resistant to almost all mental effects, leading their brains to be a very coveted, presumably powerful item. However, they are more than incredibly dangerous, and those that attempt to harvest them turn up dead or part of its group of brain slaves. |
